On Saturday, we flew from Florence to Paris for the night. We decided to only stay in Paris one night because it ended up being cheaper to fly out of Paris than out of Florence, and we got to see Paris too! We arrived in Paris in the afternoon and headed over to our hostel. After checking in, we decided to get something to eat before we went to see the Eiffel Tower! After dinner we hopped on the metro and decided to get off at the Arc de Triomphe and explore around that area. We walked to the top of the Arc and saw some beautiful views of the city, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. After that, we walked over to the tower and prepared to walk up by eating a freshly made crepe. I have been to Paris once before when I was 13 and I chickened out on climbing the Eiffel Tower, so I decided to put it on my bucket list. I am terrified of heights so it was a big deal for me to go up! We decided not to go all the way to the top because you had to take the elevator up and it was getting pretty late already. So, we climbed the 704 steps to the second floor and saw some spectacular views. It was really beautiful and definitely worth the chilly climb up. The next morning, we woke up early and decided to take a hop on hop off boat tour of the city. We got on the boat and our first stop was the Notre Dame. We ate took some pictures of the outside, but the line to get inside was super long so we decided to walk a little bit and get some lunch. After lunch, the line had died down so we went inside and walked around a little bit, it was really beautiful. After that, we got back on the boat and hopped off at The Louvre. It was really sunny and beautiful at this point so we walked around a little bit and took some pictures, before having to head back to the boat. We got back on the boat and got off at the Champs-Élysées and walked around some more before heading back to our hostel to pick up our bags. We grabbed our bags, and some delicious macaroons, and headed to the airport. Soon after, we boarded our flight back to Dublin! Paris was a lovely way to end our spring break trip, although we weren't there for very long, we saw a lot of beautiful things and got to explore the city in the daytime and nighttime.
